Greentech Renewables supplied products for this commercial-scale solar installation at an Indiana seminary. The installer, Telamon Energy Solutions, took advantage of innovative technologies to create an extremely productive PV system.

Telamon Energy Solutions helped the Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Indiana, go solar this spring. Greentech Renewables ensured the timely completion of this project and supplied top-tier equipment from bankable manufacturers. This system uses Canadian Solar 330W monocrystalline modules, Huawei SUN2000-25KTL Inverters, and Unirac Ground Fixed Tilt (GFT) racking.

The new innovative 5-busbar cell technology from Canadian Solar allows for increased module power output and system reliability. Furthermore, Huawei’s three-phase transformerless PV inverters ensure a safe, flexible, and convenient inverter solution. Designed with three MPP trackers, IP65 natural cooling, and no quick-wear parts, these 1000V Huawei inverters have a peak efficiency of 98.6%. The Unirac GFT uses cold rolled steel channels and extruded aluminum rails for a cast-in-place or pile-driven design.

Intended to support flood control and stormwater runoff management, this system was installed on a dry retention pond. This is a required feature for drainage regulation. Since the site hardly sees any water and could not be used for alternative development, it made for a perfect solar site that will produce reliable energy for the seminary for years to come.
