Tyco Electronics, formerly a segment of Tyco International Ltd., is one of the world’s largest suppliers of passive electronic components, including connectors and interconnect systems, relays, switches, circuit protection devices, touchscreens, sensors, and wire and cable. In 2007, Tyco Electronics, along with Covidien, became separate, independently-traded public companies. The new independent company is now known as Tyco Electronics Ltd.

Tyco products are used primarily in the automotive, computer, communications equipment, industrial machinery, aerospace and defense, household appliance, consumer electronics, commercial equipment, medical and instrumentation markets. and specialty products for customers in more than 150 countries.
