Since our founding in 1981, Motech Industries, Inc. evolved from a test and measurement instruments designer and manufacturer to a full service global solar company. In 1999, Motech began producing solar cells and pioneered the manufacturing and marketing of high-quality mono and multi-crystalline silicon solar cells in Taiwan while offering our products across the globe. Building upon our expertise as an instruments manufacturer, Motech began developing solar inverters in 2004; our inverters are now ranked at the highest efficiency according to the California Energy Commission’s List of Eligible Inverters. With the advent of module production and the success of Motech’s proprietary commercial-scale fluidized bed reactors used in the creation of high quality polysilicon, 2010 marks the year of Motech’s initiation as a full service solar solution provider.

Motech’s dedication to total quality management and continuous improvement has led us to obtain the ISO 9002 certification in 1996. We are now ISO 9001 certified for all Taiwan based business units and fabrication centers.

Corporate Social Responsibility is taken seriously at Motech. We are committed to complying with governmental regulations, reducing work environmental risks, improving environmental safety and health standards, and protecting the clean environment. To emphasize our commitment, we earned the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certificates in 2006 and the TOHSHMS and TUV Rheinland REACH-SVHC certifications in 2009.

Motech is listed on Taiwan’s Over-the-Counter (OTC) market under 6244.

In 2010, Motech has once again ranked in the top ten solar cell manufacturers worldwide in terms of production output.
