The announcement from the U.S. Department of Commerce named 61 Chinese manufacturers as the recipients of an approximately 31% tariff, all of whom already export modules to the United States. All companies who do not already export will be hit by a 250% tariff, to discourage them from entering the market. Of the 61 explicitly named entities, some of the biggest players in the industry affected are Trina Solar, Suntech, Canadian Solar, and Yingli, though it should be noted many of these companies plan to avoid the tariff by switching manufacturing facilities to either other Asian countries or North American locations such as Canada. The USDOC's fact sheet can be found here for more detailed information on these developments.
